How to Write Affirmations for the Law of Attraction

law of attraction

There’s a knack to writing affirmations – it’s easy enough to learn but you need to make sure that you do it.

That goes for affirmations for the law of attraction or anything else that you decide to write them for.

Get in the zone

law of attractionYou need a good energy level when you’re writing affirmations – your energy level is reflected in the affirmations you choose to use and in the way you write them in the first place.

You need to make sure that you’re as upbeat as possible when you’re writing out your affirmations.

Our energy levels vary throughout the day and are affected by our mood as well as events around us.

If you don’t feel as though you’re in the right zone, you need to change state. That could be as simple as a brisk walk or you might decide to adjust your brainwaves so that they’re more energetic. Which sounds very sci-fi but is actually easy to do by letting the audio I’ve just linked to do all the work.

Get some inspiration

If you’ve written affirmations for the law of attraction before, use those as your starting point.

If this is the first time you’ve done this exercise then use the suggestions below as a starting point or do a quick search on the web to see what other people have used.

  • I let the universe provide what I need.
  • I am a magnet for all the good things life has to offer.
  • I use the power of my thoughts to create my perfect reality.
  • I trust the universe to give me exactly what I need.
  • I am ready, willing and happy to receive wealth.
  • I am wealthy and prosperous in every aspect of my life.
  • I am making my dreams come true.
  • My mind is clear and focused.
  • Money comes to me easily and effortlessly.

The affirmations you use need to “gel” with your subconscious.

Trust your gut instinct – if an affirmation feels right, use it. If it doesn’t feel right, amend it or use a different one.

Write them down

Ideally write your affirmations down using pen and paper.

I do that, even though my writing isn’t as legible as I’d like to think it is. You can type them up later if you want to, but there’s more connection when you physically write them.

When you’ve got a reasonable size list – I’d suggest between about 5 and 12 affirmations – go back through each of them.

Your affirmations need to be written as though they’re already happening. Which means the present tense is best.

If there’s too much of a leap between your current reality and your new affirmation, adding in a a word like “allow” works nicely.

So you’d change “I’m attracting wealth and prosperity in my life” to “I allow myself to attract wealth and prosperity in my life”.

That simple change will help your subconscious to accept the affirmation a lot easier.

Also make sure that your affirmations are written in the first person using “I” and “me” and “myself”. This makes them a lot more powerful.

Make sure that there are no negatives in the affirmations you’ve written.

You should know from your law of attraction research that the universe works fast and, because of that, it doesn’t have time to deal with negative (hmm, maybe we’ve got something to learn there!). So it ignores any negative words – you need to rephrase any affirmations you’ve written that aren’t written positively.

Let them rest

Once you’ve got your list of affirmations, let them rest.

Ideally overnight but definitely at least an hour or two.

Then when you come back to the list, your mind will look at them afresh.

Go back through and tweak them if you need to.

Then make this the final draft – at least for the time being.

Read them – regularly

Law of attraction affirmations seem to get more powerful with repetition.

I read mine several times a day – when I wake up, so I’m setting myself up for a good day and just before I go to sleep. so I’m setting myself up for a good night’s rest. And at other times when I think I need a top-up.

Re-check fairly regularly

Our goals and the things we want to attract change over time.

Go back over your affirmations every now and then to make sure they’re still congruent with what you want to attract into your life.

If they are, great.

If they’re not, change them – chances are they won’t need massive changes but do whatever is necessary to keep them in total alignment with what you want to attract into your life.

Make sure you stay on top of things

it’s way too easy to let life get in the way of what we’re trying to manifest into our lives.

You need to find a way to keep focused, no matter how many curve balls life throws in your direction.

There are lots of different ways to do this but I’d suggest starting by watching this free manifesting movie to get you on the right track.
