How to Induce a Lucid Dream Tonight

Lucid dreaming is just a mental state where you are aware that you are dreaming while still in your dreams.

More often than not, most people barely get to this mental state while asleep which is why nightmares can look so real.

However, if you do get a chance to recall your dreams then you are in a state of witnessing lucid dreams.

This is how you can induce lucid dreams:

Dreaming normally occurs during the fifth stage of sleeping where your body is “paralyzed” and the brain takes full control of whatever you feel, think, or even visualize.

So try setting your alarm for aroung five hours after you’re likely to fall asleep then as soon as you wake up stay awake for about 15 minutes or so. Then keep in mind you have to remember that you are dreaming.

Secondly, you can try setting your alarm about 8 hours after you usually fall asleep then switch your phone on snooze mode for about 15 minutes in the next one hour.

This should help catch yourself red-handed whilst you are dreaming.

The idea is to keep your mind asking if it is dreaming or not.

You can also try taking a short nap for a few hours after waking up in the morning – then keep in mind that you want to know when you are dreaming.

Improving on lucid dreaming

If possible keep a small notebook or diary of all the dreams you have and keep asking yourself if you are awake or asleep, if you are dreaming or in real life.

The sooner you learn to differentiate between events that happen when you are awake and asleep then the sooner it will become a lot easier to induce a lucid dream.

People who have induced lucid dreams or practice lucid dreaming have reported experiencing a relief from their innermost anxieties or worries and some have had an easier time grasping difficult subjects in their lives.
