The law of attraction sounds good – start thinking about something (probably a lot) and you’ll attract it into your life.
Of course, there are caveats. Usually to cover the times when it doesn’t seem to work.
But surely, if it’s a law, then the law of attraction should work every time you use it. So what’s going wrong?
There are lots of things that can get in the way of manifesting what you want.
The biggest one is you – sorry to tell you that.
Negative thoughts can and do creep into our minds. That’s normal and it’s part of being human.
But when they turn from the occasional thing to almost your entire focus, that’s a problem.
Because it seems as though the law of attraction is bringing stuff into your life that you don’t want. After all, you’re constantly telling yourself that you don’t want something to happen.
But our subconscious mind needs clear, concise instructions.
It’s doing lots of things all the time.
Causing you to breathe in and out, your heart to pump, your hair and nails to grow and lots, lots, lots more stuff. The kind of stuff that keeps us alive and that – if we had to consciously think about it, we’d have nothing else to do (or we’d forget because we got distracted, likely with some very unpleasant consequences).
One way our subconscious manages to keep track of all the different things it needs to do is by ignoring negatives.
So “I don’t want to do XYZ” gets translated into “I want to do XYZ”.
See the problem here?
All those negative words are being thrown away.
You – consciously – think you’re doing things right, telling your subconscious what you don’t want to happen in your life. But your subconscious mind is taking out some of the words you’re using in your thoughts and that’s completely transforming what’s happening.
Which means that – unfortunately for you – the law of attraction is working. Just not how you imagined it.
So how do you turn that round?
The best way is to banish your negative thoughts but most of us aren’t super-human enough to be able to do that.
The next best way – the one that I use quite a lot – is to turn the negative thoughts around once they start forming. Basically catch yourself and turn the thoughts to more positive ones.
That’s still easier said than done. But even if you only have a 50% success rate, it’s a lot better than dwelling on those gloomy, dark thoughts 100% of the time.
Another way – again one that I use quite a lot – is to calm your mind.
I use meditation regularly. The method I use takes my mind out of the equation as much as possible – it uses carefully recorded sounds (called binaural beats) to program your mind to a meditative state. It’s as close as we can get to flicking a “meditate now” switch in our minds.
The program only takes about 12 minutes (so cut back on one coffee a day) and works really nicely to get your mind more “on side”.
Another thing you can do is practice.
Toddlers know this but, as we grow older, we tend to forget that things take time to happen.
Just because the law of attraction doesn’t seem to be working for you the first few times you try it doesn’t mean nothing is happening.
Some things take time.
After all, the saying “Rome wasn’t built in a day” isn’t a cliche. Even hundreds of cowboy builders would have taken longer than a day to construct it.
And, of course, big projects usually take more time to arrive than small projects.
So your test of manifesting $10 or $20 is likely to arrive a lot quicker than the real sum you’d like, which probably has 6 or 7 or even 8 zeroes in it.
That’s just how this works.
It took Jim Carrey a decade to manifest $10 million into his life and, at a guess, he was already being paid rather more than you or I.
So don’t beat yourself up if the law of attraction seems to be taking its own sweet time to turn your ideas into reality.
Instead, be persistent.
Get help when you need it – this short report will probably help.
And keep at it!
The benefits will gradually show through.
